I am an intersectional feminist, an LGBTQ+ ally and queer-affirmative therapist in my work. I work to ensure that therapy is a safe, inclusive and unconditionally accepting space.
My goal is for clients to be able to tell their stories, take their time to reflect and freely express themselves without worrying about being judged in any way. More than anything, I am here to listen. We can work together for you to reach a better understanding of yourself and those around you, explore perspectives about life situations in a way that allows you to heal, show yourself compassion, and create the kind of life you want to be living.
My approach as a therapist is largely person-centred but also flexible according to my client’s unique needs. So we may use approaches such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, existential therapy, narrative therapy, and more, depending on what works for you. I have worked with clients from multiple age groups and backgrounds on challenges they face with self-esteem, relationships, life-transitions, anxiety, body-image, identity, setting personal boundaries, building resilience and various other areas.
When I’m not counselling, I love writing, watching films, playing the ukulele, trying new foods, and spending lots of time in nature.
